This news story is local to me so I've been hearing about it all over our local news and radio.  Do you know what pisses me off about this story?  They are calling it an accident.  There were adults home and they left these young kids alone with a gun and they obvioulsy had no firearms safety training because they didn't even know it was a real firearm and thought it was a toy (that was on the radio this morning) and they are calling it an accident?!?  That's not an accident!  That's a NEGLIGENT!!!

I'm not saying we should crusify the parents, it's not like they wanted this to happen, but to pretend that it's not 100% their fault and so easily preventable, is just a bastardization of the facts.  I do think that all the adults in the home at the time should be facing charges over this for at least child endangerment.  I mean come on, how hard is it to store firearms out of reach and keep them locked up when kids are in the home??  How hard is it to keep an eye on kids in your own home??
